shopping

I had been wondering for quite some time now,why i am bored of singapore:. Besides it's limited space, it has wonderful food, fine weather and of course, large shopping malls:).It's not that i don't like Singapore mind you,but it's boring. Was happily flipping through the newspaper today, when i found the answer.Singapore's shopping malls have the same concept. Two things would probably be crossing your mind right now, either:No...it isn't! i disagree with you, or : Wah! now then realise huh?. I would guess it's the latter.Ya. I just realised.-_- took me a while to figure it out k... Yes anyway, back to the topic.Same concept. Not only shopping malls but restaurants as well. Same concept. Wouldn't it be better if we had those small and out of the way shops that sell rare vintage finds and weird and funny stuff?or more tip-top but local designer shops?Enough of Louis vuitton or Prada already. Look at Caroline herrara!Look at the many stores in Europe!Look at the tacky but wonderful roadside stalls in Bankok! Can't Singapore learn from them? darn,it's difficult to have uncommon finds on shopping trips in this country. There are few stores here which sell cheap and unique knick knacks, like funny necklaces and kinky shoes.Even the flea markets here are a drag. The restaurants too;all the same.We don't have those glitzy restaurants where you have to dress all up just to get in.We just wear a pair of jeans and a T-shirt and step into any restaurant we'd like. hm. I hope the resort for one would be a refreshing change to the shopping scene here.Nevertheless,i still love Singapore:) and the shopping, but a change would seriously,be warmly welcomed! esp by me. haha!
lots of love
